2.4.3. Applications are accepted from 00:00 on October 9 to 23:59 on October 17, 2026 (Moscow time).

2.4.4. You can withdraw your application before the registration period ends. To do so, leave a comment in this thread stating "Withdrawing application." Resubmitting your application after this is not permitted.

2.4.5. The final list of participants is published on the tournament page.

3. Tournament format.

3.1. Tournament formula: qualification and main part.

3.1.1. Selection: a playoff format (excluding a final and a third-place match) with a number of stages determined by the number of candidates. All stages consist of series played as a best-of-three (colors alternate after each game in the series). In the event of a draw in any game of the series, tie-breaker games are played until a winner is decided, using the settings specified in Clause 3.3.2 (colors remain the same as in the drawn game). Regardless of the number of tie-breaker games, a win in any of them counts as a win in one game of the series.

3.1.2. Main stage: single round-robin tournament. Each player competes against every other player in a series played as a best-of-three (colors are swapped after each game in the series). In the event of a draw in any game within the series, tie-breaker games are played until a winner is determined, following the settings specified in Clause 3.3.2 (colors remain the same as in the drawn game). Regardless of the number of tie-breaker games, a win in any of them counts as a win for that game in the series. Points are awarded based on the series outcome: 3 points for a win in two games, 2 points for a win in three games, 1 point for a loss in three games, and 0 points for a loss in two games. To determine rankings in the event of a tie in points, the results of the series between the tied players are taken into account. If rankings cannot be determined based on points and series results, tie-breaker matches are held in the form of a similar single round-robin tournament among the tied players, using the settings specified in Clause 3.3.2.

3.2. Rules of the game: SSDC.

3.3. Game settings.

3.3.1. Базовые: игра на рейтинг, размер поля — 39х32, контроль времени — 1 минута на партию, 7 секунд на ход, скрест — одинарный, без отмены хода, без добавления времени сопернику.

3.3.2. Replays: rated game, board size 39x32, time control: 1 minute per game, 7 seconds per move, cross - 4X (random), no move undo, no time addition for the opponent.

3.4. Seeding, qualification draw.

3.4.1. Upon completion of registration, the six candidates with the highest indicators are selected from all submitted applications based on the following criteria (in descending order of importance): sports title and SSDC rating in the "rapid dots" category (without distinguishing between the active rating list and the archive). In the event of a tie, preference is given to the application submitted earlier (candidates without an SSDC rating are ranked in the same manner). These six candidates advance directly to the main stage, while the others proceed to the qualifying stage.

3.4.2. Candidates selected for the shortlist are ranked in the same manner. A numbered list is then compiled, in which the participant with the highest scores is assigned the number one.

3.4.2.1. If the number of selection participants is not a power of two, then it is supplemented to the nearest ascending number that is such a power by empty positions (the resulting number determines the initial stage of qualification).

3.4.2.2. In a numbered list, empty positions are placed after all candidates.

3.4.3. Player pairings at all stages of the qualifying process are determined in the same way: the first participant on the numbered list plays against the last, the second against the second-to-last, and so on. If a participant is matched against an empty slot, they advance to the next stage without a match. After each stage, eliminated participants are removed from the numbered list; the relative positions of the remaining participants remain unchanged and are used for the draw for the next stage.

3.4.4. Two finalists from the qualification will advance to the main part.

3.5. If nine or fewer applications are submitted during the registration period, no selection process will be held. In this case, the eight candidates with the highest seeding rankings will advance directly to the main stage.

3.5.1. If the number of entries for the tournament is fewer than four, the tournament will be cancelled, and the 2025 Blitz Champion will retain their title.

4. Match schedule and conduct of play.

4.1. Selection: October 19, 2026. Moscow time.

First stage: October 19, 2026, 20:00

Second stage: October 19, 2026, 21:00

Third stage: October 19, 2026, 22:00

Fourth stage: October 19, 2026, 23:00

4.1.1. The actual number of stages depends on the number of qualifying participants.

4.1.2. The schedule listing the pairings for the first stage will be published as Appendix No. 1 to these Regulations following the close of registration. It will be updated after the conclusion of each qualifying stage. In the first game of a specific series, the "Blue" side is assigned to the player with the lower SSDC rating (in the "rapid dots" category); in the event of a tie in ratings, it goes to the player with the lower win percentage; if one player lacks statistics, it goes to that player; if neither player has statistics, it goes to the player who submitted their registration earlier. The name of the player assigned the "Blue" side for the first game is listed first in the pairing.

4.1.3. The start times of the stages specified in paragraph 4.1 of these Regulations are scheduled. Players whose next opponent is known may begin the upcoming series early, but must agree on a date and time with the arbiter. Games played in the absence of an arbiter will not be counted. If a series is not fully or partially played early, it will begin (resumed) at the scheduled time.

4.1.4. Postponing stages to a time later than scheduled is not permitted. An exception is made when the schedule is disrupted by a prolonged series (in which case, the next stage begins immediately upon the conclusion of the prolonged series).

4.1.5. The duration of the break between games in a series (including replays of ties) must not exceed 10 minutes if the series is played at the scheduled time.

4.2. Main part: October 20–25, 2026. Moscow time.

First round: October 20, 2026, 21:00.

Second round: October 21, 2026, 21:00.

Third round: October 22, 2026, 21:00.

Fourth round: October 23, 2026, 21:00.

Fifth round: October 24, 2026, 20:00.

Sixth round: October 24, 2026, 22:00.

Seventh round: October 25, 2026, 20:00.

Play-offs for final standings: October 25, 2026, 22:00.

4.2.1. The schedule specifying player pairings for each round will be published after registration closes as Appendix No. 2 to these Regulations. The player with the lower SSDC rating—or, in the event of a tie, the lower win percentage—is assigned the blue color for the first game of the series (their name will appear first in the pairing within the schedule).

4.2.2. The start times for rounds specified in Clause 4.1 of these Regulations are scheduled times (except for the first round, for which the time is fixed). Starting from the second round, players may play any upcoming match (or individual games within a match) ahead of schedule, provided they agree on the date and time with the arbiter (changes to a previously agreed time are permitted prior to the scheduled time and require both players to notify the arbiter). Games played in the absence of the arbiter will not be counted. If a match (or part thereof) is not played ahead of schedule, it will commence (or resume) at the scheduled time.

4.2.3. Rescheduling rounds (or individual matches within a series) to a later time than originally planned is not possible.

4.2.4. The start time for the play-offs to determine final standings, as specified in Clause 4.1 of these Regulations, is tentative and may be postponed by the arbiter if the schedule is disrupted by prolonged series in the seventh round.

4.2.5. The duration of the break between games in a series (including replays of drawn games) must not exceed 10 minutes if the series is played according to the scheduled time.

4.3. The Player must be present by the start time of the relevant round (stage) or the start time of an early match, using the App profile specified during registration, and must promptly challenge the opponent (or accept a challenge).

4.4. The calling party is Red.

4.5. The player who is waiting for a call must set the game settings specified in clause 3.3 of these Regulations, enable the “online” status, disable invitation restrictions by rating and rank, and also make sure that he has not blacklisted the opponent (privacy settings). The calling player must find an opponent in the list and click the “invite to game” button.

4.6. The arbiter checks every game that has started for compliance with the requirements of these Regulations.

4.6.1. If there are no violations, the arbiter sends a confirmation to the game chat in the form of a “plus” symbol.

4.6.2. If players start the match prematurely or make a mistake regarding color or settings, the arbiter requires the game to be restarted (this is not considered a replay).

4.6.3. If players disregard the arbiter's instruction and continue the match, they shall be assessed a mutual technical loss in accordance with the procedure set forth in Clause 4.8.3 of these Regulations.

4.6.4. If none of the players publicly objects to the match being considered a tournament match within one minute of the arbiter confirming it as such, it shall be recognized as a tournament match, and no subsequent claims regarding this matter will be accepted.

4.7. A match is considered concluded when the App automatically records a victory for one of the parties or a draw.

4.7.1. The results of all games are recorded by the referee.

4.8. Failure to appear results in a technical loss for the player. A failure to appear is defined as a situation where the challenging player does not send a challenge, or the challenged player does not accept it within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time for the match (or the time agreed upon with the opponent and arbiter for an early match).

4.8.1. A player whose opponent fails to send or accept a challenge must notify the arbiter within the first three minutes following the scheduled start time of the match (or the time agreed upon with the opponent and the arbiter for an early start).

4.8.2. If both players are present in the App but the match does not start, and the players accuse each other of failing to comply with Clause 4.3 of these Regulations, the arbiter shall immediately order a replay using the same settings. Before the replay begins, the challenging player must contact the arbiter via video call and show the screen of the device used for the game so that the arbiter can verify that the player actually sent the challenge. Refusal to make such a call shall result in a technical defeat for the challenging player.

4.8.3. If both players are absent from the application, both are recorded as having suffered a technical loss 15 minutes after the scheduled start time of their match (the early start time agreed upon with the opponent and the arbiter).

4.8.4. If a player arrives for the start of a match but the arbiter is not present, the player must document this fact twice in the Application’s general chat: at the scheduled start time (or the early start time agreed upon with the opponent and the arbiter) and 15 minutes later. After doing so, the player is entitled to leave the App. A match started in the absence of an arbiter will not be counted.

4.8.4.1. If both players meet the requirement specified in Clause 4.8.4 of these Regulations, the match (or series) shall be rescheduled to a later time. The specific date and time for the rescheduled match shall be determined by the arbiter, taking the players' views into account. However, the scheduled times for other matches (or series) must not be altered. In the event of an obvious delay in the coordination process caused by the players (or one of them), the arbiter shall set the date and time at their own discretion and notify the players of the decision.

4.8.4.2. If only one player fulfills the requirement specified in Clause 4.8.4 of these Regulations, their opponent is awarded a technical loss. Furthermore, if the series is not yet concluded, the player present at the venue must repeat the same actions during the next game (for series that commenced at the scheduled time).

4.8.4.3. If neither player fulfills the requirement specified in Clause 4.8.4 of these Regulations, both shall be awarded a technical loss.

4.9. Replaying individual games whose results were recorded during the tournament is permitted.

4.9.1. In the event that a game is not completed (or is incorrectly concluded) due to obvious and objectively verifiable technical issues within the Application, the arbiter shall annul the game and immediately order a replay with the same player colors and settings.

4.9.1.1. If an immediate replay is not possible, the match is replayed at a later time. The specific date and time of the replay are determined by the arbiter, taking into account the players' views. The scheduled timing of rounds (stages) must not be altered. If the players (or one of them) clearly delay the scheduling process, the arbiter shall set the date and time unilaterally and notify the players of the decision.

4.9.1.2. Technical issues are considered objectively verifiable if they are observed at a specific moment in time by the majority of the Application’s users, including the arbiter. Furthermore, a player who experiences individual issues logging into the Application immediately prior to the start of a match is entitled to a replay, provided that, before the expiration of the 15-minute window allotted for starting the match, they demonstrate the existence of such issues to the arbiter in the manner prescribed by Clause 4.8.2 of these Regulations. If, at that moment, the arbiter was not present in the Application and/or was not reachable via messenger, the situation shall be resolved in the player's favor, and a replay shall be ordered.

4.9.1.3. If a technical issue is not recorded during the match by the majority of the Application’s users (including the arbiter), yet a player believes that such an issue occurred and affected the result, the burden of proving the existence of the issue lies with that player. If the player can demonstrate the reproducibility and repeatability of the issue, the arbiter shall order a replay in accordance with the procedure set forth in Clause 4.9.1 of these Regulations.

4.9.1.4. Issues with players' internet connections and/or equipment, regardless of the cause, do not constitute grounds for a replay.

4.9.2. Games in the main stage that ended in a mutual technical loss due to the non-appearance of both opponents may be replayed on any day prior to the conclusion of the tournament. However, the corresponding series must be fully completed; otherwise, it will be recorded as a loss in two games for both players.

4.9.2.1. If both players have notified the arbiter in advance that they will not appear for the match at the scheduled time and wish to replay it later, the specific date and time for the replay shall be determined by the arbiter, taking the players' views into account. However, if the players (or one of them) clearly delay the scheduling process, the arbiter shall set the date and time unilaterally and notify the players of the decision.

4.9.2.2. If neither player notified the arbiter in advance of their failure to appear, a replay is possible only upon their explicitly stated mutual agreement. The date and time of the replay are determined in the same manner.

4.9.2.3. The scheduled start times of rounds (stages) must not be shifted when scheduling replays.

4.9.2.4. The initial result of the game is annulled following a replay.

4.9.2.5. Tournament conclusion — 10 minutes from the moment the last series of the seventh round finishes.

4.9.2.6. A replay is considered to have taken place if it is started before the end of the tournament.

4.9.3. Replays provided for in Clause 4.9 of these Regulations shall be conducted using the settings prescribed for the game being replayed.

4.10. In the event that a player disconnects, the match concludes as follows: the player who left the App is automatically assessed a loss once two minutes have elapsed (either continuously or cumulatively) or once the remaining game time available at the moment of disconnection runs out—whichever occurs first. Their opponent may, at their own discretion, pause the disconnection timer and wait for as long as they deem necessary, provided this does not extend beyond the start of the next match.

4.11. Pausing a match within the application is not prohibited but requires the mutual consent of the opponents. Players determine the number and duration of such pauses themselves, provided they remain within the scheduled time for the round (or stage). The players bear full responsibility for any potential consequences.

4.12. During the tournament, the automatic match-start functionality may be tested. The decision regarding which specific matches will start automatically is made by the arbiter, who must notify the players in advance.

4.12.1. A player notified of the automatic start of an upcoming match must be present at the scheduled start time—using the App profile specified during registration—wait for the invitation, and accept it before the timer expires. No adjustments to settings are required.

4.12.2. Failure to appear results in a technical loss for the player. A failure to appear is defined as a situation where the player does not accept the game invitation before the timer expires (15 minutes).

4.12.3. A player whose opponent does not accept the invitation must notify the arbiter of this within the first three minutes of the time on the clock.

4.12.4. Other situations not arising from the specific nature of the automatic game-start function are governed by general procedures.

4.12.5. In the event of any technical issues with the automatic start of a match, the arbiter shall immediately order a replay, which shall be conducted in accordance with Clauses 4.5–4.7 of these Regulations.
