3.1.1. Qualification: Playoffs (excluding a final or third-place match) with the number of stages depending on the number of candidates. All stages are played in best-of-three series (the parties colors change after each game in the series). If a game in a series is tied, that game is replayed until the first win, according to the settings specified in paragraph 3.3.1.2 (the parties colors remain the same as in the tied game). Regardless of the number of replays, a win in one of them counts as a win in the series. 3.1.2. Main part: Round-robin tournament. Two rounds: the first is full (all participants), the second is partial (players who finished in the top four places in the first round). Points scored in the first and second rounds, if a player participated in both, are added together. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. To determine placement in the event of a tie, the results of head-to-head matches are first taken into account, then the number of wins. In the event of a tie based on additional criteria, rematches are held according to the settings specified in paragraph 3.3.2.2. 3.1.3. The player who scores the most points at the end of the tournament becomes the winner and receives priority rights to participate in the 2025 Championship Match. 3.2. Rules of the game: SSDC. 3.3. Game settings. 3.3.1. Qualification. 3.3.1.1. Basic: board size - 39x32, initial amount of time - 10 minutes, amount of time added after each move - 0 seconds, time per move - 20 seconds, no territory, instant win when one wins by - no limits, starting position - X in the center, who starts - the opponent, options - no undo, no time addition, type of a game - rating. 3.3.1.2. Replays: board size - 39x32, initial amount of time - 5 minutes, amount of time added after each move - 0 seconds, time per move - 10 seconds, no territory, instant win when one wins by - no limits, starting position - 4X random, who starts - opponent, options - no undo, no time addition, type of a game - rating. 3.3.2. Main part. 3.3.2.1. Basic: board size - 39x32, initial amount of time - 20 minutes, amount of time added after each move - 0 seconds, time per move - 30 seconds, no territory, instant win when one wins by - no limits, starting position - X in the center, who starts - the opponent, options - no undo, no time addition, type of a game - rating. 3.3.2.2. Replays: board size - 39x32, initial amount of time - 10 minutes, amount of time added after each move - 0 seconds, time per move - 15 seconds, no territory, instant win when one wins by - no limits, starting position - 4X random, who starts - opponent, options - no undo, no time addition, type of a game - rating. 3.4. Seeding, qualification draw. 3.4.1. Upon completion of registration, the four candidates with the highest scores will be selected from all submitted applications, namely (in descending order of importance): sports title, SSDC rating in the "classic dots" category (without distinction between the rating list and archive). In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the first submitted application (candidates without an SSDC rating are ranked similarly). These four candidates advance directly to the main part, while the remaining candidates proceed to the qualification. 3.4.2. Candidates who have reached the qualifying stage are ranked similarly, after which the eight with the highest scores are selected (the remaining applications are eliminated). A numbered list is then compiled, with the participant with the highest scores assigned number one. 3.4.2.1. If the number of selection participants is not a power of two, then it is supplemented to the nearest ascending number that is such a power by empty positions (the resulting number determines the initial stage of qualification). 3.4.2.2. In a numbered list, empty positions are placed after all candidates. 3.4.3. Pairings of players at all stages of the qualification are determined identically: the first player on the numbered list plays the last player, the second player plays the second-to-last player, and so on. If a player is assigned to an empty position, they advance to the next stage without a draw. After each stage, eliminated players are removed from the numbered list; the relative positions of the remaining players remain unchanged and are used for the draw for the next stage. 3.4.4. Two finalists from the qualification will advance to the main part. 3.5. If seven or fewer applications are submitted during registration, no qualification round will be held. In this case, the six candidates with the highest seedings will advance directly to the main part. 3.5.1. If the number of applications for participation in the tournament is less than four, the tournament will be cancelled, and the current absolute champion in sports dots will retain his title without a match.
First stage: December 1, 2025, 21:00 Second stage: December 2, 2025, 21:00 4.1.1. The actual number of stages depends on the number of qualifying participants. 4.1.2. The schedule listing the pairings for the first stage will be published after registration closes as Appendix No. 1 to these Regulations. It will be updated after the completion of each qualifying stage. The blue color in the first game of a given series is assigned to the player with the lower SSDC rating (in the "classic dots" category) or, if the rating is tied, to the player with the lower win percentage. If one player lacks statistics, that player will be the winner. If neither player has statistics, the player who applied for participation first will be the first to sign up. The name of the player playing blue in the first game is listed first in the pairing. 4.1.3. The start times of the stages specified in paragraph 4.1 of these Regulations are scheduled. Players whose next opponent is known may begin the upcoming series early, but must agree on a date and time with the arbiter. Games played in the absence of an arbiter will not be counted. If a series is not fully or partially played early, it will begin (resumed) at the scheduled time. 4.1.4. Postponing stages to a later time than planned is not possible. 4.1.5. The duration of the break between games in a series (including replays of ties) must not exceed 10 minutes if the series is played at the scheduled time. 4.2. Main part: December 3-7, 2025. Moscow time. First round: December 3-7, 2025. First tour: December 3, 2025, 21:00. Second tour: December 4, 2025, 21:00. Third tour: December 5, 2025, 21:00. Fourth tour: December 6, 2025, 18:00. Fifth tour: December 6, 2025, 20:00. Replays for the final places: December 6, 2024, 22:00. Second round: December 7, 2025. Sixth tour: December 7, 2025, 16:00 Seventh tour: December 7, 2025, 18:00. Eighth tour: December 7, 2025, 20:00. Replays for the final places: December 7, 2025, 22:00. 4.2.1. If fewer than two qualifying stages are required, the first and/or second tours of the main part will be rescheduled for the available days—one round per day (21:00). The entire schedule will be shifted accordingly, and the number of tours scheduled for December 7 will be reduced. 4.2.2. The schedule for the first round, specifying the pairings of players for each tour, will be published after registration as Appendix No. 2 to these Regulations. The blue color in a given game is assigned to the player with the lower SSDC rating at the time of registration (in the "classic dots" category), or, in the case of an equal rating, to the player with the lower win percentage. If one of the players lacks statistics, that player is assigned to that player. If neither player has statistics, the player who applied for participation first is assigned to the player who has blue in the first game. The color is determined similarly in the event of a replay for the final place (any match). 4.2.3. The schedule for the second round, indicating the pairings of players for each tour, will be published after the end of the first round as an addendum to the aforementioned appendix to the Regulations. The player who plays blue in a given game is the player who played red against the same opponent in the first round; their name will be listed first in the pairing on the schedule. 4.2.4. The tour start times specified in paragraph 4.2 of these Regulations are scheduled. Players may play any upcoming game early, but must agree on a date and time with the arbiter. A game played without an arbiter will not be counted. 4.2.5. It is not possible to reschedule tours or individual parties to a later time than planned. 4.2.6. The start time of the replays for the final places, specified in paragraph 4.2 of these Regulations, is planned and may be moved by the referee to a later date for conducting replays in accordance with paragraph 4.5 of these Regulations. 4.3. A player participating in the relevant tour (stage) must arrive at the start time using the profile specified during pre-registration and challenge an opponent (accept the challenge) in a timely manner. 4.3.1. The calling side is the reds. 4.3.2. The player awaiting a challenge must disable "busy" mode and ensure that they have not enabled the ignore option. The challenger must find the opponent in the list, click on their nickname, then set the game settings in the challenge window as specified in Section 3.3 of these Regulations and send the challenge. 4.3.3. The arbitrator shall check each game that has started for compliance with the requirements of these Regulations. 4.3.3.1. If there are no violations, the referee sends a confirmation in the form of a “plus” symbol to the game chat. 4.3.3.2. If the players start the game early, or make a color or settings error, the arbiter requires the game to be restarted (this is not considered a replay). 4.3.3.2.1. If the players ignore the arbiter's request and continue the game, they will be awarded a mutual technical defeat in accordance with the procedure provided for in paragraph 4.4.3 of these Regulations. 4.3.4. If, within one minute from the moment the arbiter confirms the game, none of the players publicly declares their disagreement with considering it a tournament game, it is considered as such and no further claims on this matter will be accepted. 4.3.5. Players are prohibited from blocking the referee's game chat. Violators of this rule will receive a technical defeat. 4.3.6. A game is considered to have taken place when the Application has automatically recorded a victory for one of the parties or a draw. 4.3.7. The results of all games are recorded by the referee. 4.4. In the event of a no-show, the player is awarded a technical defeat. A no-show is defined as a situation where the challenging player fails to issue a challenge or the challenged player fails to accept it within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time of the game. 4.4.1. A player whose opponent does not send or accept a challenge must notify the arbiter of this within the first three minutes from the scheduled start time of the given game. 4.4.2. If both players are in the Application but the game does not start, and the players accuse each other of failing to comply with Section 4.2 of these Regulations, the arbiter will immediately order a replay. Before the replay, the challenging player must contact the arbiter via video call and show the screen of the device used for the game so that the arbiter can verify that the player has indeed made the challenge. Failure to make such a call will result in a technical defeat for the challenging player. 4.4.3. If both players are absent from the Application, then 15 minutes after the scheduled start time of their game, both players are awarded a technical defeat. 4.4.4. If a player arrives at the start of a game but the arbiter is not present, the player must confirm this fact in the general chat of the App no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. After these 15 minutes, the player has the right to leave the App. A game started in the absence of an arbiter will not be counted. 4.4.4.1. If both players fulfill the requirement specified in paragraph 4.4.4 of these Regulations, the game is postponed to a subsequent day of the tournament. The specific date and time are agreed upon by the players and the arbiter, with the arbiter's final decision. The scheduled time of other games must not be postponed. 4.4.4.2. If the requirement specified in paragraph 4.4.4 of these Regulations is fulfilled by only one player, his opponent is awarded a technical defeat. 4.4.4.3. If neither player has fulfilled the requirement specified in paragraph 4.4.4 of these Regulations, both players shall be awarded a technical defeat. 4.4.4.4. If, by the time the referee arrives, the general chat of the Application has been updated and it is no longer possible to verify the players' compliance with the requirement specified in paragraph 4.4.4 of these Regulations, the situation is interpreted in the context of the priority of the sporting principle – a replay is ordered. 4.5. It is permitted to replay individual games whose results were recorded during the tournament. 4.5.1. If a game is not finished (incorrectly finished) due to obvious and objectively verifiable technical problems in the Application, the arbiter will annul it and immediately order a replay with the same colors and settings. 4.5.1.1. If an immediate replay is not possible, the game is replayed on a subsequent day of the tournament. The specific date and time of the replay are determined by the arbiter, taking into account the players' opinions. The scheduled game times must not be shifted. If the players (or one of them) are clearly delaying the agreement process, the arbiter will set the date and time independently, notifying the players of their decision. 4.5.1.2. Technical problems that are recorded by a majority of App users, including the arbiter, at a given time are considered objectively verifiable. Furthermore, a player who experiences individual problems accessing the App (authorizing) immediately before the start of a game is entitled to a replay if, within the 15 minutes allotted for starting the game, they prove the existence of the problem to the arbiter in accordance with the procedure set forth in Section 4.3.2 of these Regulations. If the arbiter is not logged into the App and/or is not available via messenger at this time, the situation is determined in the player's favor, and a replay is ordered. 4.5.1.3. Problems with the internet connection and/or players' equipment, whatever their cause, are not grounds for a replay. 4.5.1.4. If the replay stipulated by paragraph 4.5.1 of these Regulations cannot be held in Application, the arbitrator has the right to transfer it to Application 2. The date, time, nicknames, and procedure will be determined individually, taking into account the players' opinions. If the players (or one of them) are clearly delaying the approval process, the arbitrator will make a decision independently, notifying the players of his or her decision. 4.5.2. Games in the main part that ended in a mutual technical defeat due to the absence of both opponents may be replayed before the end of the corresponding round. 4.5.2.1. If both players notify the referee in advance that they will not show up for the game at the scheduled time in order to replay it later, the specific date and time of the replay will be determined by the referee, taking into account the players' opinions. However, if the players (or one of them) are clearly delaying the agreement process, the referee will set the date and time independently, notifying the players of his or her decision. 4.5.2.2. If both players fail to notify the referee in advance of their absence, a replay is only possible with their explicit, mutual consent. The date and time of the replay are determined in a similar manner. 4.5.2.3. When replays are scheduled, the scheduled start time of the tours must not be shifted. 4.5.2.4. The initial result of the game after the replay is cancelled. 4.5.2.5. The start of a round is considered to be the scheduled start time of the first tour of that round. The end is the time corresponding to 10 minutes elapsed since the end of the last game of the last tour of that round. 4.5.2.6. A replay is considered to have taken place within a round if it began before its end. 4.5.2.7. A replay of a replay is permitted only in the event of technical problems specified in paragraph 4.5.1 of these Regulations. 4.5.2.8. Replays stipulated by clause 4.5 of these Regulations shall be conducted according to the settings specified in paragraphs 3.3.1.1 and 3.3.2.1 of these Regulations. 4.6. In the event of a disconnection, the game time reserve of a player who has left the App continues to be used up. Once the reserve is exhausted, such a player is automatically assigned a loss. The opponent may pause the game and wait as long as they deem necessary, but not longer than the start of the next tour (stage). 4.7. Including a pause during a game is not prohibited, but requires mutual consent from both players. The number of such pauses, as well as their duration, are determined independently by the players, but within the planned timeframe of the tour (stage). However, all responsibility for any consequences rests with them.
